FYP SPRING EVENT: SURVIVAL COURSE FOR TRADITIONAL FINNISH LAVATANSSIT

DATE: 20 May 2017

On sunny Saturday of May 2017 brave young professionals head to city of Lohja with only one thing on their mind: to be dancing queens and kings for one night! As summer weddings and other parties were approaching the timing couldn’t be better for some intense course of waltz and fox trot.

Professional dance instructors introduced the basics for surviving at Lavatanssit with couple of traditional dances and well-needed essentials to the dance etiquette. After few hours of intense teaching, newly learned skills were put to test as Tanhuhovi opened its doors to public dance (editor’s note: there were hundreds of people lining up to get to dance with FYP people).

After party was taking place with more familiar music (and venue) at Maxine.
